At 1000 ft , a luxurious immersion in nature . . .
The Wagon Above The World is in it's own private secluded space, where you will be completely undisturbed. The wagon sits on the south side of Saddlebow Ridge in the parish of Orcop in Herefordshire with a panoramic view across an unbroken horizon: from May Hill in the east, across the Forest of Dean to the south, and over to the Hatterall Hill ridge of the Black Mountains to the west. We regularly have flybys from buzzards, red kites, kestrels and sparrowhawks and at night, one can listen to the Tawny owls calling. If you're really lucky you will get to hear the eerie call of the Long Eared Owl. We have plenty of slow worms and have often spotted a grass snake in the summer knowing where to look! The meadow is full of butterflies and grasshoppers, amongst other creatures. If you are lucky you may catch sight of a fox or a deer. And if you are very lucky you may see a stoat bounding about the field. There is practically no light pollution so there are so many stars when the sky is clear, especially on a new moon. There is no road traffic noise.

If we had to try and sum it up in just a few words it might be - peace, privacy and panoramic views. All taken in from a sunken wood fired hot tub, nestled under brilliant stars, amid rolling hills and lush valleys. We are high up here - almost 1000 feet and really do feel on top of the world!

We have the River Wye nearby and as we are at the borderland of England and Wales, we are lucky enough to also enjoy beautiful mountains, wild lakes and fabulous dark skies.
